Sometimes you just need to be distracted, get rid of frustration. There are a bunch of free and inexpensive apps for your iPhone or iPod touch that are guaranteed to waste your time and leave you less stressed.

BubblePop! lite (Free) — Everyone needs bubble wrap. While this isn't the best bubble wrap app I've seen over the years, the price is right, so you have nothing to lose.

Doodle Golf ($.99) — Putt putt with a twist. Drag your finger from the ball to the hole, avoiding the walls and obstacles. The tricky part is that the obstacles become invisible as soon as you start dragging. Cute game.

Fuzzle FREE (Free) — This is one of my favorites. Line up the dots so that you have five  in a row the same color to make them disappear. There is a paid version of this, but the free one keeps me happy.

Moonlight Mahjong Lite (Free) — 3D mahjong that you can tilt, twist and zoom in and out for a better view. Lots of different layouts with this one.

Solebon Solitaire ($1.99) — This is my favorite time waster. There are 40 different solitaire variations in this little app. I'm currently hooked on Yukon.

VooDude ($.99) — Mad at the boss? Someone bugging you? VooDude, your own personal voodoo doll is a great way to get rid of your frustration. Use the accelerometer and touch screen to shake, pin, burn and toss him. Oh, and you can personalize him with a photo of the offending party.

Whac-a-mole: Whacky Xmas (Free) — Back to your arcade days! There is a paid version, but for free, I can put up the Christmas hats on the moles.

Word Warp ($.99) — See how many words you can come up with from 6 letters before time runs out. Highly addictive, and a great way to exercize your brain cells.
