When we are in our MacGroup-Detroit User Group meetings, members log in with their computers all around the room into the iChat app..
We connect and have multiple conversations and video chats going at once. It’s fun and allows us to maximize our time there, even if it does get a little fragmented. We have to pack it in because some of us only see other members at that monthly meeting, and it’s really nice to see friends face to face.
iChat is a great way to stay connected with friends and family members close, across town or across the continent when that face to face time is virtually impossible. But there’s a feature within iChat that I find few people use or for that matter know about in iChat.

Just like and email client, you can send files through iChat. And the other great thing about this feature is that I have yet to reach a file size limit, like the limit you have with email clients. I’ve sent 50MB files through iChat without so much as a whimper to someone miles away.
