This weekend, we celebrate 25 great years of MacGroup Detroit. I didn't join until a few years later. I bought my first Mac (a Classic) just after MacGroup's 4th anniversary. It had 2 MB of RAM and a 40 MB harddrive. Two years after that I bought my first laptop, the PowerBook 100. And for the record, the Classic still runs. We've come a long way since those days, but a couple of things still remain the same.
We still have Terry White at the helm. How he has managed to do this for 25 years is beyond me. When you see him, please Thank Him! And thank his beautiful wife and daughters, Carla, Ayoola and Sala for sharing him with us. We do love and appreciate you, Terry.
We also still have one of the friendliest bunch of people you will find anywhere. Have a problem? Ask, and someone will come up with a solution. Just need a friendly smile or hug. Our wonderful gang can supply those, too. If you're in town this weekend, join us to celebrate.
One of the #1 music hits of 1986 — That's What Friend Are For. Perfect for this week.
