Ready for the Holidays? Shopping all done? No? Then it’s time for some last minute suggestions.
Rule number 1 is that something will inevitably require batteries that have not been included. Grab an assortment to have on hand — just in case.
When in doubt — Gift Cards! That Mac/iPhone user on your list can always use an iTunes gift card. They work equally well in both the iTunes Store and the App Store and you can find them just about anywhere. (Probably right next to the batteries.)
Avid reader on your list? You can download and print out a gift card from Amazon that is good on anything they sell, not just Kindles and ebooks.
For the foodies/coffee fiends on your list you can get online gift cards from Dunkin’ Donuts, Tim Horton’s and Starbucks. Come to think of it, just about all of the fast food chains are now selling online gift cards.
Computer users never have enough storage or backup space, so portable external drives are always a good choice. Check your local office supply store. OfficeMax has 1 TB portable drives on sale as low as $70 and 2 TB as low as $100. Buy one for yourself while you’re at it. You know you need it. A single backup drive is not enough. It will die just when you need it most.
With those suggestions, I’d like to wish all of our Jewish friends a Happy Hanukkah.
