OK, The Big Day Was Yesterday!!!

NoGiftYou ran downstairs, tore open your gift with all kinds of excitement and anticipation, only to find…a toaster.
And while you were grateful for the thought, you just don’t need, or want, …a toaster.

So, what if you can’t give that unwanted gift back or exchange it? What are you to do? You immediately think of “re-gifting” it. Unlike that fruit cake that was passed around your family for decades, re-gifting can be a good thing.

Someone in Need

Just because you can’t use it, that doesn’t mean that someone else can’t use it. Pass an unwanted gift to someone who needs it. They  will enjoy, use and appreciate it. And you don’t have to wait for the next Christmas season, you can do this at anytime. This gets the unwanted item out of your possession and into a welcome home.

Charitable Organizations

Donate your unwanted gift. Charitable organizations with resale centers, like the Salvation Army, will display and resale your unwanted item. This helps you, with a tax-deductible donation, as well as, again, getting it out of your home, and it helps the organization raise much needed funds. This may also help with the guilt you might be experiencing of not wanting that thoughtful gift.

Your unwanted item can be just what the other person was looking for.
